1. MEBT is a non-profit 501(c)(9) Voluntary Employees' Beneficiary Association (VEBA) created exclusively for evangelical faith-based ministries.

2. Independent Board of Trustees provides regular oversight.

3. National team of third party advisors with extensive experience managing VEBA's work on behalf of MEBT:

5. MEBT began writing churches and ministries June 1, 2003.

6. Over 3,000 participating employees and dependents.

7. Started in California and now currently operating in 23 states.

8. Over $12,000,000 claims paid since June 1, 2003 - MEBT's largest single claim was over $700,000.

9. Single digit rate increase every year since inception as follows:

July 1, 2004 - 4.9%

July 1, 2005 - 6.8%

July 1, 2006 - 9.9%

July 1, 2007 - 7.1%

July 1, 2008 - 5% to 9.9% (depending on plan)

10. Current group sizes range from a ministry with a single employee to a ministry with over 600 employees.

11. Voluntary abortion is not a covered benefit = $0 goes towards voluntary abortion.

12. Currently saves nearly $1,000,000 in insurance premiums per year for all participating ministries combined.

13. Added long term disability insurance as a core benefit effective January 1, 2008.
